Synopsis

Fictionalised account of the events leading up to the assassination of former Marxist leader Leon Trotsky in Mexico in 1940. The man sent to carry out the task is Frank Jacson (Alain Delon) who attempts to gain access to the heavily guarded Trotsky (Richard Burton) via his supporter, Gita. Trotsky and his wife go into hiding after narrowly escaping a hail of bullets at their heavily guarded villa. It is up to Jacson to discover their new location and finish the job, but how long will it be before Gita begins to suspect his true motives?
