Synopsis

Baseball comedy based on a long-running play created by the Chicago Organic Theater Company in the 1970s. The characters are a group of Chicago Bruins fans, sitting in the 'bleachers' (the cheap seats at the very back of the stadium where fans can get a seat for a dollar - but need binoculars to see the game) to watch a Cubs game on a summer afternoon. This disparate collection of fans all have their own reasons for attending the game, and tolerate rather than actively like one another. As the beer flows, hot dogs disappear, and friendly wagers take on increasing importance, it transpires that the group have more in common than they might at first have imagined.
