Synopsis

Mick Jackson's adaptation of Po Bronson's best-selling novel is set during the internet boom of the mid 1990s. Andy (Adam Garcia) is a young, successful marketing executive who has everything; fast car, beautiful girlfriend and a very large salary. But he is not content and gives up his job to pursue a career working for La Honda Research Institute, a technology 'think-tank' in Silicone Valley. But he is assigned the almost impossible task of creating and marketing the world's first $99 laptop and is given a team of hapless misfits. When things begin to look promising, his boss, Francis Benoit (Enrico Colantoni), tries to steal their work; and the team has to fight against the very power that pulled them together in order to prevent their work from being exploited.
