Synopsis

Documentary on Iran's 'Green Revolution' of 2009 which hoped to overthrow President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and replace him with a democratic candidate. A staunch theocracy since the overthrow of the oppressive Shah in 1979, perhaps Iran's greatest internal political upheaval since then took place in the spring of 2009. After reformist candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi came second to Ahmadinejad in the Presidential election, concerns were raised about the integrity of the voting process. The fallout spilled onto the streets and was ultimately met by repression and violence from the powers that be. This film uses a combination of amateur video, interviews and animations to tell the story of Iran's attempted 'Green Revolution'.
