Part of the epic documentary series examining the origins and development of the Holocaust and Nazi Germany's attempt to destroy the European Jewish population. This volume looks at the development of the Theresienstadt ghetto, a small fortress town in Czechoslovakia that was the transit point for hundreds of thousands of Czech, German, Austrian and Dutch Jews on route to the death camps in the East. By 1943, the Nazis developed Theresienstadt into a so-called 'model' camp in an attempt to disguise to the outside world what was really happening to the Jews.
