In episode 2, Beatrice moves into Jack's (Aden Gillett) flat, resolute to build up the House of Eliott and make it more sucessful. The sisters employ a new Vendeuse, Alice Burgoyne (Kate Fahy). Finally, in episode 3, wealthy client Edith Duglass (Phyllida Law) invites Evie to her country manor to do some fittings for her daughter. James (John Elmes), Edith's son, drives Evie to the manor and there is an attraction between them. Finally, in episode 4, Beatrice gets on famously with Jack's mother so scraps her original collection ideas to base the new collection on Ann's illustrations of flora and fauna.
