Four more episodes from the second series of the popular British drama. The House of Eliott is now the smartest, most prestigious establishment in London and the Eliott sisters have to contend with the pressures of running their empire, as well as the problems in their private lives. Beatrice's (Stella Gonet) devotion to the business puts a tremendous strain on her marriage, while Evie (Louise Lombard) embarks upon a liaison which threatens to ruin both her life and the House of Eliott. In episode 5, the sisters are designing the costumes for a new abstract ballet and the workroom girls are excitedly making Till's (Cathy Murphy) wedding dress. A financial problem results in a sacking. In episode 6, there is friction in the workroom with Florence (Maggie Ollerenshaw) who is unhappy about Madge (Judy Flynn) and Tilly's way of working. Evie finds love and new clients at Montford Hall. In episode 7, as Florence is now gone Madge is made Head of both seamstree. Agnes (Victoria Alcock) falls foul of a young newspaper reporter. Finally, in episode 8, the relationship between Evie and Alexander (Rupert Frazer) deepens and they spend a weekend at Beatrice and Jack's (Aden Gillett) cottage. Beatrice discovers that Evie is having an affair.
