A colourful, atmospheric film full of raw vitality like the Tango music it features. This is the story of a group of old Tango singers from Buenos Aires who used to gather in one of the city’s most famous bars, El Chino. Every weekend the bar was packed with Tango enthusiasts and the atmosphere was electric. But suddenly the bar’s owner dies, the bar closes and the singers are left to struggle to earn a living during Argentina’s economic crisis. Lonely and dejected, they yearn to perform one last time. A fortuitous meeting with the young musicians from Orquesta Tipica Imperial may enable their dream to come true … Brimming with beautiful, melancholic songs this film is a tribute to the Tango singer’s irrepressible talent and spirit.
