He falls in love with her, but does not want to fall under her power or be bought, and so the pair set endurance tests for one another in order to be sure of the other's true feelings. In 'Trial and Error' (1962), Barrister Morgenhall (Sellers) has waited forty years for a chance to shine in court. When he receives a brief to defend Fowle (Richard Attenborough), a man accused of murdering his wife, he sets about proving his client's innocence in court, despite the fact that Fowle insists that he is guilty.
