Synopsis

French drama set in the illegal world of free fighting - a brutal mix of Thai boxing, wrestling and ultimate fighting. Clovis Cornillac stars as Angelo, a Thai boxer who accidentally kills his challenger in a street fight after being unjustly excluded from the championships. When he is released from prison six years later, he is a shadow of his former self. Then one day, his childhood friend Moise (Tony Mpoudja) introduces Angelo to Marcus (Renaud), a bar owner and illegal fight organiser. The same night he meets Virginie (Rocher), a waitress at Marcus's bar, with whom he falls in love at first sight. However, unbeknownst to him, Virginie has been paid to pay him attention. Reeling from the blows life has dealt him, Angelo decides then and there that he will turn himself into a machine: the meanest, hardest man alive, the 'Scorpion'...
