Classic 1930s version of Alexandre Dumas's enduring tale of the young Gascon D'Artagnan's tutelage as a musketeer. D'Artagnan (Walter Able), a poor but chivalrous nobleman, arrives in Paris with the intention of serving his country as a Musketeer of the Guard. Taken under the wing of three more senior musketeers - Athos (Paul Lukas), Porthos (Moroni Olsen) and Aramis (Onslow Stevens) - D'Artagnan gradually establishes his leadership qualities as a battle for the country's future unfolds.
