A collection of six classic tales of terror from the legendary Tigon British Films Productions, founded by Tony Tenser in the 1960s. Tenser encouraged his directors to go where other studios feared to tread and to push the barriers of acceptable taste to the limit and beyond. His battles with the censor are as notorious as his maxim that there are only two things guaranteed to sell a film: sex and horror. It has been argued that two of the films included here, 'Witchfinder General' and 'The Blood on Satan's Claw' are among the finest British horror films ever made. Films are: 'Witchfinder General' (1967), 'The Body Stealers' (1969), 'The Haunted House of Horror' (1969), 'The Blood on Satan's Claw' (1970), 'The Beast in the Cellar' (1970) and 'Virgin Witch' (1971).
