The Triumph Of Love Film Poster

Light-hearted historical romantic drama, set in a nameless European country during the 18th century. Mira Sorvino plays a princess whose family had seized the throne by force. When she becomes aware that the rightful heir to the throne, Prince Agis (Jay Rodan), is still alive and secluded on the estate of court philosopher Hermocrates (Ben Kingsley), the princess disguises herself as a male philosophy student so she can gain access to him. When she begins to fall in love with the prince, she conceives a plan to marry him and unite the kingdom. Unfortunately, Hermocrates has seen through her disguise, forcing the princess to pretend that she is in fact in love with the old philosopher, in an attempt to recruit him to her cause.
