Triple-bill of classic Hollywood racing films. In 'The Wild Ride' (1960), a rebellious teenage delinquent, played by Jack Nicholson, kidnaps his best friend's girlfriend and takes her on a cross-country rampage as he tries to avoid the police. 'The Fast and the Furious' (1954) follows Frank Webster (John Ireland), an escaped convict who takes a woman hostage and steals her car, resulting in a hi-octane cross country chase with the police as he tries desperately to clear his name. Finally, in 'The Big Wheel' (1949), Mickey Rooney plays an ambitious mechanic who manages to qualify for a championship racing competition. Ruthless in his pursuit of fame, he has to find some way of redeeming himself after he accidentally kills another driver.
