Synopsis

David Mamet adapts and directs this version of Terence Rattigan's acclaimed play. At the turn of the last century, the Winslow family fight to clear the name of their youngest son, a thirteen-year-old naval cadet who has been accused of stealing money. Sir Robert Morton (Jeremy Northam), a famed lawyer, agrees to defend the boy, but as the case becomes a national obsession, the family grows ever more distraught.
