Black comedy set in the heart of New York's fashion industry. When Grindy Malone (Katie MacNichol) joins Manhattan fashion house Poncho Ramirez, she's finally fulfilled her dreams. Unfortunately for Grindy, the designer label's influence is on the decline, and CEO Ronnie Grossman (David Thornton) is desperately looking for a way to boost the firm's flagging fortunes. With everything hanging on the success of Grindy's hot new range of jeans, Ronnie decides to strike a deal with his arch rival Ira Gold (Jerry Grayson), head of budget range Romeo Jeans, to market them. But when the range suddenly takes off, demand outstrips supply, and in a desperate attempt to cash in, Grindy and Ira decide to stitch the upmarket Poncho Ramirez label onto cheaper, low quality jeans.
