Synopsis

Japanese drama directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Loyal employee Ryuhei Sasaki (Teruyuki Kagawa) is made redundant when his company begins outsourcing to China. Incapable of facing his new reality, he hides his failure from his family and, weaving an intricate web of lies, pretends he still has his job. When Ryuhei's youngest son Kenji (Kai Inowaki) asks for extra money to pay for piano lessons, the balance of the artificially-sustained family stability tips - and it soon becomes apparent to all that trust and communication within the family have broken down to an irreparable degree.
