The story of the late Tupac Shakur, who rose from the ghetto to become one of hip hop's most notorious, controversial and successful artists. The film uses Tupac's own voice to tell his life story through voice-overs, interviews, and other vocal tracks. Executive produced by Tupac's mother, it chronicles his life, music, and death from fatal gunshot wounds in 1996, and includes rare footage, home movies, private photographs, and excerpts from his personal poetry, letters and diaries.
