Synopsis

Blackly comic crime thriller about a girl who escapes her small-town life and assumes the identity of her friend - a dominatrix. When Alberta (Leelee Sobieski) decides it's time to leave her hometown and head for the big city, she arrives on the doorstep of the only person she knows, her former babysitter Celene (Tricia Helfer). Discovering that Celene leads a double life as a dominatrix - charging $300 an hour - Alberta decides to 'borrow' her identity to earn herself some much needed cash. One day, whilst entertaining Paul (Jacob Tierney), one of Celene's clients, the couple are interrupted by some local hoodlums sent to retrieve money owed by Paul to their boss Rene (Lothaire Bluteau). When Paul swears his innocence, he receives a beating, at which point Alberta decides to cut loose. But her problems are only just beginning, as Rene, certain that Alberta knows where the money is, traces her to Celene's flat.
