Synopsis

Western triple bill. 'Backlash' (1956) sees Jim Slater (Richard Widmark) searching for the sole survivor from the Apache ambush at Gila Valley, in which his father died. On his travels, he comes across Karyl Orton (Donna Reed) who is also looking for answers into the disappearance of her husband. However, complications occur as they find themselves in danger in the Arizona desert. In 'Bullet for a Bad Man' (1964), Logan Keliher (Audie Murphy), a former Texas Ranger who is framed for murder, escapes from prison and goes on the run in an attempt to prove his innocence. 'The Glory Guns' (1965) was adapted from Hoffman Birney's novel, 'The Dice of God', and co-directed by Sam Peckinpah (he was later replaced by director Arnold Laven). Tom Tryon stars as Captain Demas Harrod, who, along with his faithful scout Sol Rogers (Harve Presnell), is placed under the tyrannical command of Indian-hating General Frederick McCabe (Andrew Duggan). Senta Berger co-stars as Lou Woodard, the pretty young woman over whom the two soldiers have an ongoing rivalry.
