Synopsis

Thanksgiving comedy focusing on four families from different backgrounds living in Los Angeles. Ronald (Dennis Haysbert) works for a conservative governor as a spin doctor and heads the Williams, a seemingly picture-perfect American family. Anthony Avila (Douglas Spain) is determined to have his whole family together for a traditional dinner even though his father has left his mother, Elizabeth (Mercedes Ruehl), who has also started seeing someone else. Ruth (Lainie Kazan) and Herb (Maury Chaykin) Seelig are struggling to cope with the fact that their daughter Rachel (Kyra Sedgwick) is a lesbian. Finally, Trinh Nguyen (Joan Chen) has made America her home, but feels like she's losing her kids. The families all contend with similar household issues as they prepare for the onslaught of family and friends.
