Synopsis

Documentary about the Tibetan people and their struggle to free their homeland from its Chinese rule. In 1950 Tibet was incorporated by the People's Republic of China and later lost its automony after the 1959 Tibetan Rebellion which saw the Dalai Lama government flee to India in exile. Decades later the people of Tibet continue their fight for freedom, but with conflicting political and religious views the correct strategy by which to achieve their goal is much debated. The film includes a number of interviewees who have varying opinions on the issue and features music by Philip Glass, Thom Yorke and Damien Rice.
