Early drama from the Australian director John Duigan. When a woman commits suicide, two friends of hers from different periods of her life are drawn together. Bryan Brown plays Bob the political activist turned bookshop owner, and Judy Davis is Lou the drug-addicted prostitute who crash lands into his life. They become close whilst investigating the mysterious circumstances surrounding their friend's death. Also features Baz Luhrman, the director of 'Strictly Ballroom' in an acting role.
