Documentary using rare colour footage to illustrate new perspectives on the Second World War. This volume looks at the enormous logistical challenge faced by the Allied forces to feed and supply their men on the front lines in the fight against Germany and Japan. By the end of the war, the Allies controlled the most sophisticated logistics service in history, and it was estimated that for every one American rifleman in the Pacific, there were eighteen supply soldiers behind the lines keeping him in action.
