Based on a true story, North Face recreates the 1936 race to scale the treacherous north face of the Eiger in Switzerland. When Hitler offers a prize to the first climbers to reach the summit, various countries assemble teams to scale this part of the Alps. German duo Toni Kurz (Benno Furmann) and Andi Hinterstoisser (Florian Lukas) find themselves pitted against ace Austrian pair Willy Angerer (Simon Schwarz) and Edi Rainer (Georg Friedrich) for the ultimate prize. However, Mother Nature is merciless and the climbers' minds are constantly distracted by what their rivals are doing. Meanwhile, Toni's journalist and old flame Luise (Johanna Wokalek) gets her shot at glory by covering the historic race for the Berlin newspapers.

googleTrackerHelper.doTrackPage( '/'North-Face-film_options~15825'/Reviews/ViewAll/1' );"}
