David LG Hughes writes and directs this low budget crime caper set in Southend-on-Sea, which likens each of the characters to a type of confectionery that suits their behaviour. Crime boss Shrewd Eddie (Paul Freeman) rules over the area with an iron fist, striking down rivals who dare to challenge his authority. However, even he must answer to someone - London hard man Jimmy the Gent (Peter Wight) - who famously carries a suitcase with him at all times containing a cool 750,000 pounds. When Jimmy and his goons come to Essex to collect 250,000 pounds from Eddie, three rival factions decide to gatecrash the meeting and steal the cash. The would-be robbers, including drug-addicted pimp Daddy (Adrian Bower), hatch hare-brained schemes to get rich quick, unaware that there are other degenerates out there plotting the same daring heist.

googleTrackerHelper.doTrackPage( '/'Hard-Boiled-Sweets-film_options~48055'/Reviews/ViewAll/1' );"}
