Manservant Jeeves (Stephen Fry) and his bumbling master Wooster (Hugh Laurie) attempt to keep their upper lips stiff amongst England's inter-war high society. These episodes find the hapless Wooster getting into a tangle over his own attempts to avoid marriage and his efforts to dissolve the union of his Uncle George and a young waitress. Fortunately, Jeeves is on hand to see that the decent thing is done.

Wodehouse: Bertie risks the wrath of Aunt Dahlia when he bungles the purchase of a silver milk jug; Bertie and Jeeves attempt to recover an incriminating notebook lost at the fancy dress ball by Bertie's chum, Gussie; Bertie finds himself pursued by an amorous spinster; Jeeves is ready to give his notice when Bertie takes up playing the trombone; Bertie is held hostage on the yacht of a wealthy American who believes him to have designs on his daughter; and Bertie considers Bobby Wickham as his bride - much to Jeeves' chagrin.
