All nine episodes from the first and only season of the American drama starring Dustin Hoffman as career criminal Chester 'Ace' Bernstein who has just been released from prison after three years. As part of his plan to get revenge on those he holds accountable for his jail sentencing, Ace looks to take over the Santa Anita racetrack in Los Angeles where he wants to incorporate casino gambling. Meanwhile, a group of gamblers, including poker addict Jerry Boyle (Jason Gedrick), aim to win big on a 'pick six' bet. Elsewhere, agent Joey Rathburn (Richard Kind) schemes in order to find a way for his client, Ronnie Jenkins (Gary Stevens), to ride trainer Walter Smith (Nick Nolte)'s promising horse, Gettn'up Morning. A rivalry soon sparks up between Ronnie and young female jockey Rosie (Kerry Condon) who has been helping to train the horse and is also eager to race with him.
