'The New Inspector' sees Stan's old mates turning against him when he is promoted. 'The Canteen' has the busmen become so fed up with their canteen food that they rashly decide to run the place themselves. 'The Darts Match' finds Stan and his male colleagues outwitted by their female counterparts when they challenge them to a darts match.

'The Snake' sees a night on the tiles go awry when the gang are joined by a stowaway serpent. In 'Mum's Last Fling' Olive, Stan and Arthur begin to suspect Mum is having an affair after she starts wearing kiss-proof lipstick and stays out until the wee small hours. In 'Radio Control' a two-way radio is installed in the number 11 to try and speed it up. In 'Foggy Night' visibility is nil and Stan has to pull off the road - with Mum, Arthur, Olive and Inspector Blake on the bus! 'The New Uniforms' has Stan and Jack chosen to try out a new uniform, one which has a notable effect on the opposite sex. 'Nowhere to Go' sees a night of seduction go awry for Stan and Jack.'The Canteen Girl' has the duo decide that Inspector Blake's new girlfriend is not a good thing and set about trying to keep them apart. 'Dangerous Living' sees everyone going on a health kick despite its hidden dangers. In 'The Other Woman' problems arise when Arthur (Michael Robbins) is introduced to a new Clippie. 'Going Steady' has Stan start seeing Blakey's neice. 'The Squeeze' finds Stan attempting to increase his income by selling some of his stuff to the Inspector. 'On the Make' sees Stan give up his room to a lodger who just happens to be a female colleague he's trying to seduce. Finally, 'Brew It Yourself' has Jack persuade Stan to start brewing beer at home.
