Three complete Animal Planet wildlife series. 'Meerkat Manor - Series 1' (2005) is narrated by Bill Nighy. The series follows a group of meerkats living in the Kalahari Desert in southern Africa. With no humans featured, film crews were housed in specially built sheds and successfully filmed inside a meerkat burrow using fibre-optic cameras. 'Orangutan Island' (2007) focuses on the plight of Borneo's orangutan population, as they fight for survival against the backdrop of the ever-expanding logging operations. As their habitat diminishes daily, a groundbreaking project offers a ray of hope to the orangutans, as a team from the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation provides 35 young orangutans with the chance to live wild on a protected, 100-acre island. 'Pandamonium' (2007) follows the staff and animals at the Wolong Panda Reserve in China. With pandas a regular feature on the endangered species list, the success rate of this pioneering breeding centre, 16 cubs in one year, is remarkable. With the centre now opening its doors to the outside world for the first time, the viewer has the opportunity to meet the dedicated staff and to see the cubs as they grow and play alongside their parents.
