Opening three episodes of the acclaimed drama centred around a New Jersey Mafia family. In 'The Sopranos (Pilot)', Tony Soprano sees a psychiatrist when family problems become too much for him. '46 Long' sees acting family boss Giacomo 'Jackie' Aprile seriously ill with cancer, while Tony becomes reluctantly embroiled in a power struggle with Uncle Junior. In 'Denial, Anger, Acceptance', Mickey Palmice stirs up further trouble between Tony and Junior.

Season 2 (2000)

All thirteen episodes from the second series of the Mafia family saga. In 'Guy Walks in to a Psychiatrist's Office', Tony is now in control of the family business, but faces further professional and famiglia problems in the form of the Feds, long-lost sister Janice, nephew Christopher and a returned Big Pussy, keen to prove that he is no rat. 'Do Not Resuscitate' sees Junior out of jail on medical release, while the ailing Livia fears that her son is planning to pull the plug on her. In 'Toodle-F**king-oo', Richie Aprile - brother of the late, great mobster Jackie, is out of jail after ten years, and tells his former protégée Tony that he wants his turf back. 'Commendatori' sees Tony travelling to the old country to discuss the family car 'export' business with Zi Vittorio, head of the Napoli branch of the family. In 'Big Girls Don't Cry', Tony reorganizes the pecking order of his various employees, and while Paulie and Silvio are happy with their respective promotions, Christopher and Pussy are less than impressed. 'The Happy Wanderer' sees Tony back in therapy with Dr Melfi, and railing against having to organise an 'executive' game of poker for various Mafia high-flyers. In 'D-Girl', Christopher decides he would like to become a Hollywood player, while Pussy is threatened with prison unless he goes into Tony's house wearing a wire. 'Full Leather Jacket' sees Richie attempting to make peace with Tony, while Carmela turns to her neighbour for advice about Meadow's prospects at college. In 'From Where to Eternity', Christopher has an out-of-body experience during surgery, while Dr Melfi turns to her own psuchiatrist for help over her substance abuse. 'Bust-Out' sees Richie approaching Junior regarding a possible alliance, and Tony decides to drive David Scatino out of business just as Carmela hired Scatino's brother-in-law to decorate their living room.In 'House Arrest', Tony is advised by his lawyer to spend more time on his legitimate business ventures. 'The Knight in White Satin Armour' sees Tony preparing to sever all ties with an out of control Richie. Finally, in 'Funhouse', a doubt-ridden Tony decides to find out where he really stands with Pussy once and for all.

Season 3 (2001)

All thirteen episodes from the third series of the Mafia family saga. In 'Mr Ruggerio's Neighborhood' the FBI try to plant a bug in Tony's basement. 'Proshai, Livushka' has Tony arrange a small get-together in honour of the recently deceased Livia. 'Fortunate Son' sees Tony begin to suspect that meat plays a major part in his psychological problems. 'Employee of the Month' has Tony unimpressed by Ralph Cifaretto's behaviour. 'Another Toothpick' finds the Baccalieri family in disarray after Bobby Baccalieri Sr comes out of retirement. 'University' sees relations between Tony and Ralph worsen when the latter kills his dancer girlfriend. In 'Second Opinion' Uncle Junior dreams the Feds have offered to cure his cancer if he will testify against Tony. 'He is Risen' finds Tony's relations with Ralph in the spotlight again when the latter refuses the former's peace offering. 'The Telltale Moozadell' has Tony and Gloria visit the zoo together. 'To Save Us All From Satan's Power' sees the family gather for Christmas dinner. 'Pine Barrens' finds Paulie and Christopher travelling to South Jersey to dispose of a corpse. 'Amour Fou' has relations between Gloria and Tony take a turn for the worse when she begins making calls to his house. Finally, in 'The Army of One', Meadow is devastated by the news of Jackie Jr's death.

Season 4 (2002)

All thirteen episodes from the fourth series of the Mafia family saga. In 'For All Debts Public and Private' Carmela begins to worry about the family's long-term security whilst Uncle Junior is worrying about his impending trial. In 'No Show' Meadow runs away when her parents oppose her decision to give up her education and travel to Europe. 'Christopher' sees Bobby Baccala devastated after the death of his wife in an car crash - he was stuck in the traffic that was the result of her accident. 'The Weight' sees Tony and Carmela arguing about finances and Silvio and Christopher meet up with an old-time hit-man. In 'Pie-O-My' Ralph buys a filly and Tony is smitten. In 'Everybody Hurts' Anthony Jr falls for a girl from the right side of the tracks, Carmela plays matchmaker and Tony hears some news about an old associate. 'Watching Too Much Television' sees Paulie get out of jail, Tony and Ralph ignore financial advice and Adriana keen to get married. 'Mergers and Acquisitions' sees Carmela getting involved in the investment world. In 'Whoever Did This' Ralph's son ends up in a coma and Ralph is implicated in the fire that led to Pie-O-My being put down. 'The Strong Silent Type' sees Dr Melfi disagree with Tony and Furio gets a visit. 'Calling All Cars' sees Dr Melfi interpret Tony's dreams. 'Eloise' sees Furio return to Italy after he decides he cannot get rid of Tony to get to Carmela. Finally in 'Whitecaps' Junior's trial is thrown out, Carmela is depressed by the departure of Furio but chucks Tony out when she finds out about his infidelities, and the season ends with Tony moving into the Plaza Hotel.
