The first series of the hit television series starring Michelle Collins. Abby Wallace (Collins) is a single mum living on a council estate in London. When her young son sees an appeal for young families to move to the Scottish island of Ronansay, Abby decides this is an opportunity that cannot pass her family by. The only problem is she needs a husband to be considered for the move. Her best friend Kenny (Paul Kaye) is easily persuaded to play this part and they begin their new life in Scotland. But it isn't always easy keeping up the act in a small community - especially when Abby attracts attention from the local salmon farmer who seems to want to be more than just neighbourly and there seems to be a few more local men who have an eye for her.
The complete 2nd series continues with eight more episodes. The charade is over between Abby (Michelle Collins) and Kenny (Paul Kaye) who posed as husband and wife for a new life on the Scottish island of Ronansay. When Abby's relationship with the local fish farmer intensifies, Kenny watches the woman he has spent a lifetime waiting for give her heart to someone else. However the friendship that has seen so many ups and downs is as strong as ever, and sometimes it takes someone else to make you realise what you have.
