A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries Film Poster

This epic story spans two decades and two continents, as the tale of Channe Willis' (LeeLee Sobieski) life moves from 60's Paris to 70's America. Channe is a wilful and precocious teenager in Paris, adored by her foul-mouthed and hard-drinking father Bill (Kris Kristofferson) and her flamboyant mother Marcella (Barbara Hershey). However, the cultural isolation of being an American in France takes its toll on the youngster, and Bill decides to move the family back to America, where they hope to start afresh. Based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Kaylie Jones, daughter of James Jones, the man who wrote 'From Here to Eternity', 'Some Came Running', and 'The Thin Red Line'.
