The grass isn't always greener in this tale of exploitation down Mexico way. Director Robert M. Young's groundbreaking drama has young, impoverished Mexican farmer Roberto (Domingo Ambriz) illegally crossing the border into the US after his wife gives birth to their first child. Thinking he'll be able to earn more money to support his family in the land of the free, Roberto's ambitions are dealt a swift blow when every job that comes his way brings with it a reminder of the injustices dealt out by exploitative employers.
