Widowed and broke, Dan (Robert Davi) decides to take his two teenage daughters to Rio De Janeiro to build a new life. A pilot introduces Dan to the idea that he could find gold in the jungle, so he heads off to the Amazon basin, against the advice of a beautiful and educated local woman who warns him about the adverse effects of gold mining on the rain forest. When his plane crashes, Dan finds himself being cared for by a native tribe, and embarks on a quest to find his daughters.
