'‘A beautifully made poetic journey in the company of an artist’' BFI An Artist's Eyes follows the journey of the young British painter, Chris Moon, as he navigates the perilous art world and a demanding, often excruciating relationship with his work. From his studio to his shows, Moon lets the camera into his tumultuous relationship with painting: from the depression triggered by his practice, to his anarchy towards the art circuit. Following Moon through two solo exhibitions in London and New York, onto a road-trip across Southern Spain, this subtle insight spotlights the reality of life as a contemporary artist. Chris’s character is revealed as uncompromising, bohemian and totally dedicated to painting. Jack Bond is one of Britain’s most innovative filmmakers and over a fifty year career has redefined documentary, art-house drama, music video, film and television. This is the second film he has made on an artist, the first being with Salvador Dali in 1965, Dali In New York. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Director Jack Bond.
