Deborah Perkin directs this documentary following a Moroccan single mother as she strives to gain rights for her illegitimate child. Rabha El Haimer was tricked into marriage at the age of 14 and had a child shortly afterwards. When she left her violent husband she quickly discovered that society was highly unsympathetic to her situation - and that her daughter, Salma, was barely recognised by the authorities. Perkin follows Rabha as, with the support of a feminist charity, she seeks rights for herself and her child in the face of prejudice and hostility.
