Triple bill of festive entertainment for children. In the animated musical Christmas adventure 'A Trip to See Santa' (2004), Mimi and Alexander decide to find out what Santa's home is like, and set off on a trip to Lapland. They discover a magical snow-covered place where reindeers and husky dogs pull them along in a fairy-tale sleigh - but how can they engineer a meeting with Santa himself, and find out what has happened to all the letters they have written him? Songs include 'Winter Wonderland', 'White Christmas' and 'Frosty the Snowman'. The Young Vic retell the Western world's best-known story in 'The Nativity' (1999), in which Joseph and Mary journey to Bethlehem accompanied by various angels and a talking donkey. Once there the couple find that all the inns are full, but take shelter in a stable, where Mary gives birth to a son, Jesus Christ. In 'The Snowman - The Stage Show' (1998), Raymond Briggs' children's story is adapted for the stage with music composed and conducted by Howard Blake. After building a snowman in his garden, a young boy is taken on a series of magical adventures.
