Israeli rite-of-passage story follows two very different young girls doing their national service. Smadar (Smadar Sayar)and Mirit (Neama Shendar) are 18 year old girls thrust into the front lines of the religious war that rages in their homeland and spend their days taking ID details of Palestinians in Jerusalem. Initially they appear as different as two people could be but their frosty relationship melts as they gradually open up about their home lives, how they see this war, how they feel about having to do this. They are, as it happens, mere teenagers; fond of shopping, friends, cigarettes, boys and the myriad other things that consume an 18 year old mind yet they are forced to think about snipers, bus bombs and the chance that today might be the day.
