Musical drama directed by Walter Hill starring Ralph Macchio. Eugene Martone (Macchio) is a young white man obsessed with the blues, after having trained at Juillard. He then befriends ageing blues master Willie Brown (Joe Seneca), and helps him escape from the nursing home he resides in. The unlikely pair make their way down to the Mississippi Delta where, unbeknown to Eugene, Willie plans to revoke a diabolical deal he made many moons ago. The acclaimed soundtrack is by Ry Cooder.
