Barry Levinson writes and directs this nostalgic drama starring Steve Guttenberg, Daniel Stern, Mickey Rourke and Kevin Bacon. The story unfolds in 1950s Baltimore where a group of disenchanted twenty-somethings spend their days in a local diner, talking away their problems. Eddie (Guttenberg) is reluctant to marry his fiancé, Shrevie (Stern) prefers to spend time with his friends rather than his wife Beth (Ellen Barkin), Billy (Timothy Daly) has a pregnant girlfriend who won't marry him, Fenwick (Bacon) is smart but always drunk, and Boogie (Rourke) is an anarchic hairdresser with an eye for the ladies.
