Edo Bertoglio revisits the New York art scene in the late 1970s and early 80s, known as the downtown scene, in this documentary based principally around personal reminiscences, archive footage and photographs. Along with his friend, violinist, painter, and one-time Warhol collaborator Walter Steding, Bertoglio explores the art, music and drugs that were central to an artistic community whose key figures included Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Jim Jarmusch, Deborah Harry and John Lurie.
