In 1945 there existed two baseball leagues in America; the major league for the white players, and another for the black. Jackie Robinson, Saitchel Paige and Josh Gibson, the best black players, attracted the attention of the talent scouts. Given the chance to take their rightful place, they had to battle not only resistance to change but also their personal demons.
