A triple bill of films featuring Willy the whale. In 'Free Willy' 12-year-old Jesse (Jason James Richter), a street kid living with foster parents, befriends Willy, an unhappy killer whale imprisoned in a seedy adventure park. Jesse resolves to return Willy to the sea. In 'Free Willy 2', both Willy and Jesse have new problems to deal with. While Jesse is forced to look after his half-brother Elvis (Francis Capra), Willy now has an unruly sister and brother of his own. Jesse meets up with Willy on a camping trip, but their reunion is cut short when an oil spillage threatens to separate Willy, his brother and sister from their mother and family of whales forever. Whilst in 'Free Willy 3' Jesse, now 17-years-old, is tracking whales at sea with his mentor Randolph (August Schellenberg). Before long they are reunited with Willy, and find a new friend in 10-year-old Max (Vincent Berry), whose fisherman father is hunting whales illegally.
