Moving and reflective political drama directed by Marco Bellocchio, based on the true story of the kidnapping of Italy's former Prime Minister and president of the Christian Democratic Party Aldo Moro (Roberto Herlitzka) by the Communist underground organisation Red Brigade in the late 1970s. Seen through the eyes of a young member of the terrorist group, Chiara (Maya Sansa), the film shows an intensely personal view of the events that stunned a nation over a 55-day period. The film won the CinemAvvenire Award at the 2003 Venice Film Festival.
