Triple bill of 1980s features executive-produced by Steven Spielberg. In 'The Goonies' (1985) a bunch of misfit kids take on some greedy property developers and try to save their neighbourbood by finding the lost treasure map of a 17th century pirate. In 'Gremlins' (1984) an eccentric inventor brings an unusual Christmas gift home for his son, Billy (Zach Galligan): a cute, real life teddy bear called Mogwai, obtained from a Chinese trinket store. Upon purchase, the shopowner offers two strict warnings: don't let Mogwai come into contact with water; and don't feed him after midnight. Inevitably, both these stipulations are ignored and the cuddly creature begins to spawn some distinctly unruly offspring. In 'Innerspace' (1987) navy pilot Tuck Pendleton (Dennis Quaid) is miniaturised to microscopic proportions by an amazing scientific process and is accidentally injected into the bloodstream of supermarket employee Jack Putter (Martin Short). The situation becomes more complicated when evil wrong-doers steal the means to restore the pilot to his actual size.
