Double bill of British crime dramas. 'Hammer the Toff' (1952) follows upper class sleuth Richard Rollison (John Bentley), aka The Toff, as he tries to help Susan Lancaster (Patricia Dainton) reunite with her missing uncle. He quickly discovers that Susan's uncle has been targeted by criminals, who are after his newly-created steel formula. When Susan is also taken, The Toff uses his old police contacts to get to the bottom of the mystery. In 'Mrs. Pym of Scotland Yard' (1940) Mary Clare stars as the eponymous detective who must investigate the murders of two women who were members of the Green Valley Psychic Club.
