Collection of five archive documentary films showing changing farming conditions in Scotland from the 1930s to the 1960s. 'Ayrshire Dairy Farmer' (1967) looks at the day-to-day running of a dairy farm. 'A Farm is Reclaimed' (1945) was produced by the Department of Agriculture and demonstrates a derelict farm being put back to use. 'Haymaking' (1934) looks at horse-drawn mowing. 'Harvests of the Soil' (1937) looks at the production of the potato, wheat and barley crops. Finally, 'Scottish Ploughman' (1955) looks at the daily routine of a ploughman at work.
