Collection of three movies starring Heath Ledger. 'A Knight's Tale' (2000) tells the story of William (Ledger) a young squire with a talent for jousting. When his master dies somewhat prematurely William sets off with his friends and an unknown writer called Chaucer (Paul Bettany). Chaucer agrees to forge documents that will prove William's status as a knight and hence his eligibility to enter jousting competitions. 'Lords of Dogtown' (2005) follows a group of teenage surfers from a tough neighbourhood known as 'Dogtown' in Venice, California, who pioneer a revolutionary new style of skateboarding. Riding the waves at the Pacific Ocean Park pier, the Z-Boyz, known for their aggressive style and hard street attitude, combine the death-defying moves of surfing with the art of skateboarding and become overnight sensations and local legends. With empty pools as their canvas, the Z-Boyz pave the way to what is now referred to as extreme sports, and create a lifestyle that spreads infectiously to become a worldwide counterculture phenomenon. But all of this fame begins to take its toll on the friendships that they thought would last a lifetime, as the sport that started out as an afternoon hobby turns into big business. Finally, in 'The Patriot' (2000) Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson), a plantation owner and ex-soldier, refuses to join his countrymen in the battle for American independence. However, when one of his sons is killed and another is wounded, Benjamin is forced to enter the fray in order to protect those he loves. He is given a command by his old friend Colonel Harry Burwell (Chris Cooper) and begins to mount a campaign against the notorious British officer William Tavington (Jason Isaacs).
