Synopsis

This musical remake of the prizewinning The Philadelphia Story united Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra, the two top singers of their era. And what a memorable occasion it was. An abrasive script by John Patrick was complemented by a Cole Porter score that included True Love, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? , Now You Has Jazz and a show-stopping Crosby-Sinatra duet called Did You Evah? But the real star of the movie is Louis Armstrong, whether joyously singing the opening number or getting all the best lines and delivering them with the pride and timing of an Oscar-winner. Not even Crosby and Sinatra can stop this being Satchmo's show.
